Wainuiomata, Lower Hutt

Untitled

went to school here for a few years… the kind of place you want to leave as soon as you can and once you’ve gone you never look back lol

but still, I can’t help but have a little place for it in my heart :)

for me best thing about this place was swimming in the river at the Rimutaka Forest Park

it’s not really a tourist hotspot lol but for anyone accidentally driving over the hill, I’d say the best bits of Wainui are the view of Wellington & the Hutt from the top of hill (you can see the mountains in the South Island on a clear day), the Rimutaka Forest Park, and driving all the way down the Coast Road to the rocky beach at the end – so wild & cold!
