Sitka

Worth visiting!

Quaint & homey

A nice, relaxing place to visit. With the pioneer’s home and the boarding school, many people are likely to pass through here. Check out the museum, eat a specially-licious pie, remember Russian days gone by…Sitka.

India

(in Asia)

Worth visiting!

Everything you'd expect, but still surprising

It’s colourful, it’s filthy, it’s chaotic, it’s beautiful, it’s free, it’s crowded, it’s ancient, it’s wild, it’s India.

Very cool

So much cool architecture and museums! I really enjoyed it. Definately recommended.

Albuquerque

Worth visiting!

Quirky Albuquerque

It’s great. I love it. Albuquerque Old Town has much more charm than Santa Fe, the university architecture is adobe style, it hosts the biggest Pow Wow anywhere, not to mention biggest hot air balloon gathering, and with volcanos on one side, the Sandia Mountains on the other, and a whole bunch of simple, easy going people inbetween, how can you go wrong?

District of Columbia

Not worth visiting!

Not cool at all

I went there for the 4th of July, thinking that would be the ultimate place to be on that widely celebrated holiday. But no, the place was almost dead! We went around to the monuments, which were rather boring, and saw the white house (from outside), saw the fireworks, which certainly did not justice to the city’s status of capital of the US. They weren’t even as nice as most big cities! They canceled the parade because of a little rain, and the only patriotic people that continued celebrating inspite of the rain were a couple Hari Krishna groups! So much for the so called enduring American spirit! A couple of the museums are cool, but all in all, not worth the visit.

Grand Canyon National Park

Worth visiting!

Not as impressive as I thought...

I expected to be awed, but I just wasn’t… I don’t know, it just didn’t “do it” for me. I thought Canyonlands National Park in Utah was much more aweinspiring. For someone wanting to see the Grand Canyon, I would recommend rather going to Canyonlands.

Denali National Park

Worth visiting!

The most truly awe-some place in the world

I’m from Alaska, but I still am awestruck by The Mountain. It’s teeming with life, and so impressive, rising with its foothills out of the flatter country.
