Birch's Bay, Tasmania

Grandvewe Cheeses.... by nonnacookbooker

… A beautiful restaurant and farm…

There are wine and cheese tastings, and little and big kids can watch the milking and feed the sheep.

The food was absolutely beautiful and the views spectacular.

Be prepared to spend a very lazy afternoon there..!

Golden Dragon Museum, Bendigo

Sun Loong by nonnacookbooker

is the longest imperial dragon in the world and housed at the museum in Bendigo. He is more than 100 metres in length, and comes out of the museum once a year for the annual dragon festival. This is one of the most incredibly historical museums that I have seen. Amazing artifacts – some preserved from the original Chinese immigrants, and more imported from China in recent times….

What a beautiful place to visit. Overlooking Oyster Bay across to Shouten Island, Coles Bay and Maria Island. Wonderful accomodation, with the sound of waves crashing along the shore – a delightful restaurant with equally delightful cuisine. Based on Japanese Ryoken’s – it is done very well…..

Red Velvet Lounge, Tasmania

Untitled by nonnacookbooker

We hadn’t been to the Red Velvet Lounge since new owners had taken over. We were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful menu, ambience and service. We will definitely be making the time to visit here again real soon. Absolutely beautiful fresh food, and desserts to die for.
