This city is sadly divided down the middle by a raging freeway. The old part is nice and feels very towny, but the rest of it is purely suburbs and strip malls, where all you can see for miles and miles is cement and neon signs. This place is good for outlet shopping, rest stops on long highway trips, and depressing oneself beyond belief.

Marsala was my home for a year when I was sixteen. It has amazing people, food, and scenery, but you have to look to find them. The city seems to be buried under a fine layer of dust; it’s large for a fishing town-90kish people, but needs a little reviving before it could really be considered thriving. Still a beautiful, captivating place with so much history.
