…to Russia three times, once for a month long visit and twice for shorter visits. St. Petersburg is a beautiful city, lots of beautiful architecture. The Crimean Peninsula (which is actually part of Ukraine, though at the time that I was there there were more Russians than Ukrainians living there) has such beautiful scenery, and Moscow had so many places of interest as well.
over 5 years agoWas there about 15 years ago, specifically drawn because of the story of Grace O’Malley. Beautiful == spent the day walking the roads, looking at the church graveyard, visited a weaver’s studio, had a meal on the island — a long time ago, but a good memory!
