...to Russia three times, once for a month long visit and twice for shorter visits. St. Petersburg is a beautiful city, lots of beautiful architecture. The Crimean Peninsula (which is actually part of Ukraine, though at the time that I was there there were more Russians than Ukrainians living there) has such beautiful scenery, and Moscow had so many places of interest as well.

Was there about 15 years ago, specifically drawn because of the story of Grace O’Malley. Beautiful == spent the day walking the roads, looking at the church graveyard, visited a weaver’s studio, had a meal on the island—a long time ago, but a good memory!
