Been getting pizza and pasta at Nicola’s since we moved to Portland 13 years ago. They used to be just take-out, but remodeled into a full restaurant about 5 years ago. Good, honest pizza, great atmosphere. And Vince and Louis (owners) are great people!

Good food. Cheap prices. Three locations in town. (North, NE and Gresham)

I had some fabulous hot wings. And then I found nirvana.

Deep Fried Twinkie.

I don’t even LIKE twinkies. But I remember reading about Dan eating one, so I thought I’d try it. Must be a mysterious chemical reaction between the grease and the cream filling.

If I’m 300lbs at the next reunion, you’ll know why.

I’ll be visiting soon, giving them a pint. Then I’ll get cookies and juice for dessert. I don’t like needles, but I do like helping people! Go Oh-Negative!

Unless the event is catered, there are only a few restaurants within a short walking distance, and they are not necessarily fast food (Red Robin, Denny’s, Burgerville) and quickly get overwhelmed with an event crowd. There are more restaurants a bit farther away if you are into sprinting…
