Worth visiting!
Bring your own coffee and non-perishable comfort foods with you. Thank goodness for McDonald’s else I would’ve starved. Tapas are an acquired taste and the grocery stores don’t offer American foods (at least none that I could find). Other than eating, Spain is an interesting country to visit. The locals are friendly and the sights are beautiful.
Not worth it!
I went to Mazatlan about 10 years ago and wasn’t very impressed. The hotel I stayed at on the Costa del Oro was dead, no night clubs were opened, the streets were not very busy. I was so bored that I wouldn’t give it a second chance.
Worth visiting!
Jamaica is a poor country, but has natural beauty which most tourists don’t see. If you travel to Jamaica and plan to venture off of the resorts make sure to enlist the aid of a local guide you feel comfortable with. He will keep the locals from hounding you for your money and can show you some really interesting areas. Be sure to keep your nose clean, though. Jamaica has stand-alone holding cells off the sides of roads to place arrestees where you can wait up to a week to be transported to a magistrate.
