Durango, Colorado

Durango is a great little town!

I grew up in Durango. Sure when I was there it was not as built up and all touristy but there were so many wonderful places to go and and things to do (if you like the outdoors). I remember way back when I was 8 years old or so, fishing right in the middle of town on the Anamous (sp) River. I went there after school and caught a whole lot of fish. I was so hooked on fishing that I lost track of time many days and came home to a very angry mother and a cold dinner. But it was worth it. Lots of fond memories and adventures I had in this wonderful part of the world.

Walt Disney World, Lake Buena Vista

What a terrable place!

Was really looking forward to seeing Disney World. When I got there the group on the bus from the airport was told by the driver you would be nickled and dimed to death and when the end of your stay comes you will be very happy to leave. I didnt believe that thinking he was just a unhappy employee. Boy was he right! A bad tasting hamburger costs us $6.95, a beer, a single can of beer was $5.00 each!!! Telephone calls were $.75 each and the list goes on and on. Went in October and the lines were suppose to be better but it was a freaking zoo. Lines were hours long and that “fastpass” was a joke. Get a fast pass for a ride and it will come up in about 4 hours. ONLYONEFASTPASSALLOWED which means you will have 4 hours to get in really long lines or sit and wait. About 85% of Disneyworld was shops to spend more money in. I was totally disapointed and I could have spent much less. After Disneyworld we traveled South and had a great time on the beaches (this was between hurricanes)and the many things to do.

Libby, Montana

Wild animals beyond your wildest imagination!

Libby is probably the most remote place in the lower 48 states where it has almost 90% of the land forest service and Wilderness. If you know where to look (ask the nice people at the Caboose Motel) for such animals as Bears, Moose, Deer, Elk, Couger, Badger and a whole lot of other wild animals you can take some great pictures and memories back home. I am positive this part of Montana is the one last undiscovered area as most tourists flock east to Glacier National Park (very nice) and do not take in the amazing things located around the Libby, Montana area. Two places you can check to find out more about libby and the wilderness. http://mtwilderness.com and http://libbymt.com.
