it’s stunning, you really should go at least once in your life.

Mull is picture postcard idyllic, and if you get there on the right day, the scenary is spectacular.

Wildlife’s a main feature here, but you’ll find the locals pretty damn friendly too.

The usual caveats aside (I’m thinking totalitarian state), Beijing is a beautiful world city, and now an ideal stop over en route from Sydney to Europe.

I went there with a few tourists (for some reason, it’s on loads of people’s itineraries), and have to say I was impressed despite myself. Some crazy sharks. Ideal for a rainy day.

Give me Verona over Venice any day

I lived in Rotterdam for a few months and I’m not sure I’d advocate that, but it’s definitely worth popping into once you’ve seen Delft, Groningen etc.

The cube houses and the Gallery are must sees.
