I may not be getting to Nfld. this summer but my cousin and his family are travelling from Cape Breton this month. I know full well that upon their arrival home I’ll get a phone call and he’ll fill me in on the trip.
What I need to do is plan ahead, say,”I’m doing this come hell or high water”, and just do it!

I spent 10 wonderful years in Don Mills. I moved there at age 5 in the early 60’s. It was a super place to grow up.
This Sept. my school St. Bonnie’s is celebrating it’s 50th and I’m planning on attending.

I know that this is one of those places that is going to be an “Oh,my …....!”

I recently changed job locations-—now at a high school.My first week was a tad rough;especially the grade 9 math class.The boys were out of control! So,I packed a bag of jelly bellies in my case and brought them to class.Now I’m not a believer in bribery but…... I got so much more work out of them and we developed a rapport that I could not have otherwise—I really believe that whatever it takes to get the ball rolling. Obviously,I stopped with the “sweets”after a bit.

I guess the main reason for my wanting to visit the Valley is because I have roots there. I am adopted and am discovering my biological background.
I have been told that my biological father may have lived here. I’m still not 100% sure of who he was.I’m really hoping to get this mystery solved soon.

I’d like to find someone I met back in university that hailed from Lowell. Not sure if he’s still in the area but from what I can remember his family owned a restaurant there. Never know, could luck out.

I guess I like to live in a fantasy world at times. The thought of walking amongst the ruins of a site where pirate’s just may have tread; I think this would really be a worthy adventure.

My family lived in Don Mills back in the 60’s. My mother decided that a great place to take us kiddies (for my brother’s birthday) was the ROM. Beat any McDonald’s hands down!!

I think an Alaskan cruise would be right up there on top of things that I think I’d never, ever regret doing!

The Fortress is spectacular!
If you plan to visit try and pick a day where the weather is agreeable as it’s smack-dab right on the ocean and can be a tad breezy. The last time I visited (last summer) the sun was out and it was a beautiful day for the trek.
