Dinosaur Bar-B-Que

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: Great BBQ in Rochester

I’ve always been very impressed by the food at Dino!

The nachos are fantastic; when they ask if you want chili or pulled pork, just say you want both :) Chicken wings are amazing.

I usually order the “Tres Hombres” platter — you get ribs, beef brisket, and pulled pork. Cajun corn and black beans & rice are by far my favorite sides.

Apizza Scholls

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: Darn good...

This is the closest thing to east coast thin crust pizza that I’ve found on the west coast. It’s like a cross between NYC thin crust and New Haven apizza .

I found the service to be very friendly. Then again, I’m from New York; maybe you Portlanders demand über-friendly service ;)

Pizzas are a little on the pricey side, ranging between $20-24 dollars (about 8 large slices).

Bonus: They serve Mexican Coke in glass bottles. AWESOME.

Voodoo Doughnut

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: That voodoo that they do...

I dropped by Voodoo Doughnut on a Tuesday afternoon (my first visit).

There was no wait, a friendly girl working behind the counter, and plenty of Maple Bacon doughnuts available for purchase.

What’s not to like?

Oregon Museum Of Science And Industry

Not worth visiting!

A review of this place: Disappointed

I had high hopes for OMSI, unfortunately it didn’t live up to my expectations. The museum itself is surprisingly small, and there aren’t that many exhibits.

Sorry, OMSI is outclassed by great museums such as the Ontario Science Center in Toronto, the Field Museum and Museum of Science & Industry in Chicago, and of course the Smithsonian museums in D.C.

Even with small children, it’s unlikely you could fill a day with what’s available here.

Check out the USS Blueback Submarine , but skip the museum itself.

A review of this place

A great tour for both kids and adults. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Highly recommended.

Paddy's Bar & Grill

A review of this place: Strong drinks, good finger food.

Paddy’s claims to be an Irish pub (it’s really not), but it does have an impressive selection of booze, and perhaps the best garlic french fries I’ve ever eaten.
