The reverend there is really nice, and he does a good job of giving a bilingual service (english & japanese).

I was there for a week, and a week was not nearly long enough. It was cold for May, but it was wonderful. I came back to find I had very little money and some wonderful memories. The favorite place I visited: the British Library museum.

This place is definitely worth a visit if you’re in Kyoto. It’s really beautiful and peaceful, even with all the tourists.

Lots of stuff to do, but it’s expensive and crowded. It’s a fun city.

I grew up in Buffalo, and I spent most of my years in the city wanting to leave. I left to go away to college, and since then I’ve only gone back to visit family. Now, to be fair, Buffalo really tries. There is a decent art/dance/theater community, and the Allentown Art Festival held every year is fun. And it’s close to Niagara Falls, which gets old really fast, and Toronto, which is a really great city. There is too much of a focus on drinking in Buffalo, which is a part of the reason it’s so depressing. It’s a city without a real future—there are few opportunities for good jobs in the area, and few reasons for people who grow up there to stay.
