Beautiful weather, and so close to the Great Barrier Reef. Excellent sushi at a place called Sushi Zipang.

Living half a world away and only having seen it on old movies, my expectation was that Chicago would be a gritty industrial place. In fact it was really nice – and the people were nicer. I was amazed at how polite everybody was; I’m always told how friendly New Zealanders are, but the Chicagoans were friendlier …

Flew in one morning, left at lunch time the next day. Got the full speed tour of the city, met so many people. It seems like everybody who is anybody in the online world lives in SF. Going back there soon :)

All my life – in Christchurch.

So many people and so much to do in Japan. Half the population of America in an area only slightly bigger than New Zealand. We never have enough time to do everything we want!

I live in a city of only 350K people, so Tokyo is quite a novelty for me – stepping out of Shinjuku, Harajuku or Shibuya station and seeing all the lights and buildings. So many people! And so much stuff to do!

If you come from New York, on the other hand, it’ll probably look pretty familiar…
