Erfurt at this time of year is all bedazzled with Christmas – decorations, markets, everything. Adds to the medieval charm of it all.

Gorgeous.

The first night I was here, I was hosted at a monastery, and I fell down the stairs – injuring my foot and hurting some other parts of my body.

So far the only parts of Köln that I´ve really seen are teh hospitals – hopign to see more beyond that!

We’ll stop over there on our way to Antwerp. Should be interesting!

I lived in a temple during my week in Murou. So much omishiroiness.

(The temple had Internet access. In a VILLAGE. Random.)

I swear, the temple visit is spreading magic.

This is a real Up With People town! The whole place is all Up With people-ified. There’s even pictures of the previous crews in the Town Hall. Amazing!

Library Hotel is basically a hotel that is themed as a library – each room is filled with books based on themes, such as fairy tales, philospphy, literature, journalism, new media, so on and so forth. There are also many great amenities and packages (high speed Internet, video library, free cable) but the books are the best part of it all.

One of my goals and dreams is to stay overnight in a bookstore. I love bookstores; absolutely attached to them. I know there is a bookstore in France where you can stay overnight for free (and actually sleep amongst books!) as long as you help with the chores and get out during the day. This one’s more expensive (more than US$200 per night) but it’s still a great option.

Ah, heaven.

My family originated from here. It’s interesting to see people actually want to come here. XD

My family is from here, so we go back often. It’s ok; just be really prepared for something really different!
