this place was a delight. i went here with my family a few years ago, and at that time, i told them that my future honeymoon would be here! it’s that beautiful/magical. the people were so friendly. we stayed at the shangri-la tanjun aru, where i cycled around the beaches.

went to montreal on a 3-week french immersion program. stayed with a host family and made lots of brazillian friends. i also spent one day in quebec city.

montreal is really vibrant and busy. the metro is very convenient – you can get anywhere by taking it. i especially loved the downtown area. there are also lots of history and culture around, so there’s never a dull moment! you only have to step out! i got to enjoy ‘the nutcracker’ ballet while i was here too! :)

very european and beautiful. loved the little art shops/galleries lined up along the streets of old quebec. chateau frontenac was a tad disappointing.

if you are going between december and january, be prepared to brave the winter cold that’s around -20 to -30!
