Brunei is well worth going to for a few days. There isn’t an amazing amount to do but it is a very friendly place and some great buildings and atmosphere.

I lived in Dubai for three years and loved it. Living there is completely different from just a holiday as you really get into the multicultural society.

Best things to do are:

go out and spend time with people who live there
sand skiing
offroad driving
visit the souks
go to the shopping malls
get an abra over the creek
Jumeira Beach hotel is worth a look

You can get taxis everywhere easily.
