My dad went there on business earlier this year, and found it to be a very interesting place to travel. I would probably need to go with a (male) traveling partner, but would like to spend some time there.

over 5 years agoI rated this as a place not worth visiting, but this requires some qualification. This is not a touristy destination. If you´re looking for a beach holiday and a place to chill out, this is probably not the best island in the area to go to (and very expensive – too many CUC´s spoil the broth!!). If you are interested in viewing different modes of life and to immerse yourself in the history of the country, it is certainly worthwhile.

over 6 years agoI studied at Stellenbosch University and lived in the town for five years. Situated in the Boland region, 25 mins from Cape Town and famous for its vineyards. Picturesque setting, historic character, bustling entertainment.
