Savannah Historic District

Worth visiting!

My hometown

I love Savannah! It’s the largest renovated historic district in the country. There is iron work fencing and cobblestone streets, horsedrawn carriages, as well as steamboats and lovely little parks all throughout the city called squares. There is an international art college there as well so there are art students everywhere with pink and purple hair, it’s such a diverse place. Spanish moss covered 200 year old live oak trees, palms, and in spring when the azaleas bloom it is breathtaking! There are little bed and breakfasts all over and the beach is only 15 min away. You will fall in love with Savannah too if you come here. : )

New Orleans

Not worth visiting!

Yes there are some cool places there..

but it was so dirty and grimy and there are hookers everywhere. I went 10 years ago and then again about 3 years ago, I just don’t get it, I was not impressed at all.It is so over romantized. I can’t imagine how it looks now after Katrina. If you are passing through, stop and check it out, but I would not plan a vacation around it.

Winchester Mystery House

Worth visiting!

This place was awesome!

It was the wildest place! Windows in the floor, doors that open to a one story drop, rooms with no doors to get into them, I remember seeing a show, that Ripleys Believe It Or Not, with Jack Palance about it when I was a kid, I always wanted to see it and it was so cool.. If you are ever in San Jose you gotta check it out.

Grand Canyon

Worth visiting!

It's weird really...

The hole in the ground is so friggin big, it plays like tricks on your eyes, it’s like looking at a painting of the Grand Canyon, because your brain has trouble putting it together. I only got to see it for a brief minute, right before the sun set; it was magnificent. I am always so rushed for time… I WILL go back someday.

Roswell

Worth visiting!

I liked it

It was kitschy but fun, I had a good time. It was funny how there are two opposing factions there, the believers, and the anti-alien league that has signs up with alien faces with big red lines through them. : ) I was coming up from Carlsbad caverns and stopped in. The family that runs the crash down dinner were really sweet and had lots of cute green crap for sale. It was fun.

New York City

Worth visiting!

I love N.Y. !

I really had a blast, I was only there for two days, but I crammed as much as I could in. : ) I was surprised that you don’t need that much money there to have fun, I mean the hotels are expensive, but you really can just walk around and see great sights for free. Saw Times Square, and I went to the top of the Empire state bld, (I think that was like 10 bucks), then went and ate dim sum in China town, went a few streets over an got one of those kanolly things from Little Italy, then wandered around in the Museums all the rest of the day- they are huge!, Oh and there was this awesome store called Forbidden Planet on Broadway. : )
