I’m fortunate enough to have had Clydagh, Co. Galway as something of a second home growing up.
There has never been anywhere quite as beautiful as living in the shadow of the twelve bens of the Connemara.
Worth visiting again and again.
over 7 years agoAll the many times I have spent in Ireland have been some of the happiest in my entire life. Fortunate enough to have very strong family ties with this beautiful country, I’ve been able to spend large portions of my life hidden away in the stark and harsh beauty of the edge of the Connemara.
The people are wonderful, the countryside is beautiful and seemingly never-ending. Nevermind the weather, Ireland just wouldn’t be the same without it’s showers and ever-present rainbows.
Dublin is worth a visit, yes. But don’t forget the cultural side of Ireland. Take a dive – head out towards Galway and the Connemara where the people speak an old language and you can almost see the faery mounds or one of the DeDanann from the corner of your eyes.
over 7 years agoI’ve been to Disneyland three times now, each time I’ve been older and each time I’ve enjoyed it more than I did the last.
I was last there in April 2005, getting my first experience of the new Studios and whilst there’s not nearly as much to do as in the main park, it was still worth the visit.
What with all the hassles of being a student, it’s just the place to unwind and be a kid again before the real world calls you back.
