sweet thing, thankyou for the beautiful holiday. i don’t want to eat lobster with anyone else

had we gone forth with the original plan to chuck a sickie and hike to the bottom of the amazing waterfall we didn’t have time to visit the first time we went, we probably wouldn’t have broken up that evening. which means i’d now be in darwin, sweating it out. no surf, no boy, no icu, no new friends, no nepal trip, no gastro, no locums.

but the breaking up, while the heartbreakingest thing that’s ever happened to me, was also the best because i never would have done it on my own and i’d still be with a man who makes me feel insignificant (oh oh, i’m now with a new man who makes me feel insignificant. i’m using this relationship to learn how to put up barriers. let’s see how that goes). too romantically stupidly naive to believe anything other than love conquers all and love is all we need, i’d be sweating away feeling small small small.

so kids, oxley wild rivers national park. absolutely beautiful, would recommend highly for its gorgeous water features, just take care going there with a lover who doesn’t love you back…

had a reasonably average breakfast. town seemed groovy enough. never could find a lamington though and never went out on the cans. nice public spaces.
