I had a weekend to on my own in Nashville. I am not a country music fan, but when in Rome…..

It was pretty interesting. A nice bit of Americana. Worth a visit if you are a fan of country. Not too awful if a non fan is being dragged there by a fan.

The Met is a wonderful place with something for everyone. I never get bored when I am there. The Rooftop bar offers a fabulous view of Central Park.

Yes, the admission is “suggested”. My attitude is that you pay what you can afford. If I have the cash I do pay full price. It helps me feel better for the times when money was tight and I only afford to pay a dollar.

It was the 80s and I was going to school in Pittsburgh. At the time drinking age was 21 in PA but only 19 in WV. A friends boyfriend lived in Weirton. We would go there to stock up on booze.

nothing much to see, but an ok place to live

It was Long Island with palm trees. With so many better places to go, why bother?

for Americans. A friend of mine calls it the “white building city”. Plenty of places to visit and most of them are free. The Spy Museum is worth the admision price.

Make sure you bring a nondrinking friend to drive and go wine tasting. Try it in the fall when the foliage is at it’s peak.

I spent 3 months in Minnesota in the winter. Many hours (and dollars) were spent at the mall. If malls are your thing it is worth a weekend trip.

Unlike most Long Islanders I have never did the drive to Florida. At 38 years old I have never stopped at South of the Boarder, until last week. I was in NC and we drove there for a goof.

Tacky is an understatement! But it was fun to wander around. Picked up some generic toilet paper and some of the worst postcards I have ever seen. I can’t forget eating the most miserable taco I ever had. It made Taco Hell seem like perfection.

but hated Denver. It struck me as a place to work and start off your trip. but Denver as a destination? Save your time for the mountains.
