It was wonderful to see Notre Dame during a jubilee year, when the tour guides couldn’t go into the building!

One of my favorite places of all time!

I grew up in Evanston, IL, and left in 1992 after high school graduation. I never looked back, but that’s not because it wasn’t a great place, just that I had sad memories there that could have been from anywhere.

St. Jo is the starting point for the Oregon Trail and home of Jesse James! Lot of wonderful American history there! Also, there’s the psychiatric history museum….. odd.

It is, however, in the middle of nowhere and sprawling, so you’ll definitely want a car!
