Knox College, Galesburg

I went to school here

The town of Galesburg isn’t much of a sight to behold, but the Knox campus is beautiful. Lots of green lawns. The buildings are a nice mixture of old and modern architecture. It’s compact and accessible; you can walk from one end of the campus to the other in under five minutes, a definite perk when you’re late for class. The dorms are some of the nicest I’ve seen. The dorm rooms are a comfortable size and the suites are intimate and homey.

However, I think almost all us graduates agree, the single best thing about Knox is the people. By and large the student body is incredibly friendly and diverse. There is a large international population and the school attracts students from all across the United States. During my time there I met people of every religious, political, ethnic, and sexual persuasion. I felt that I could be myself there with no pressure to conform to any mold.

The Wedding

I was up in Lake George a couple weeks ago for a wedding. Didn’t strike me as anything special. Looked really touristy.
