Museo De Las Momias, Guanajuato (City)
Untitled
As far as I know, they ran out of space in the cemetery and when the dug up the graves to move them, they discovered that the minerals in the mountainside had preserved these bodies. Most of these mummies are less than 100 years old. Many of them look as though they were buried alive, in regular clothing and with excruciating expressions on their faces. Some were naked, and up until recent times there were no glass containers housing the mummies, and people would literally snap off the dicks of poor old dead folks and take them home as a souvenir. Gross, right? Well if you are interested in the the dead, or the gross, or the gross dead, you should definitely stop by when you are in Guanajuato. It is inexpensive and VERY interesting.

Untitled
One of Arizona’s hidden treasures. At one time it was a booming mining town, the biggest city between St. Louis and San Francisco. Then when the mines ceased to produce, everyone left. Now it is a friendly town full of hippies, yuppies, retired folks and active folks. I strongly suggest you visit!
