Incredible...
Simply incredible. Great people and nature at its best. Arenal and the Pacific beaches are worth it. I drove and felt safe. People are very helpful and crime is not a major issue. Just be smart and you’ll be safe. LA, Miami, and DC are much worse than CR in terms of crime.
