I went to Cortez three summers ago, to go to Crow Canyon Archæological Center for a school trip. Cortez is a nice little town, a little dry, but they have a wonderful pool.

I went to Orange County last summer. My parents lived here before I was born and I was supposed to be born in Seal Beach before my dad got transferred to Virginia. The beach-parts of Orange County are magical. Being out at the pier in Seal Beach, looking back at the coast, I realized that there was no need to be uptight about things. I’ve been a lot more laid back ever sense.

It can be a little gaudy, but it’s a great city. I love the way the city seems to stretch on forever as you land at Los Angeles International at night. It’s unlike anything else.
