Quaint little town
Did a weekend trip up to Bath, what a quaint little town, so lovely just to walk about. Had the best scones in the cafe at the Jane Austen museum of all places!

over 4 years agoStayed at Lady Elliot Island for a week and it was just so relaxing and beautiful. Each day there was something new to see. I got scuba certified and it was just amazing seeing the marine life at such depth. Snorkeling was fantastic too, managed to see a manta ray as it gracefully swam below me. My favourite was seeing the turtles and the colourful clams.
over 6 years agoAm heading back to Japan again in September to do the following:
- Appreciate the beautiful changing colours of the leaves, preferably whilst soaking in an onsen;
- Visit a hot spring resort and do nothing but traipse about in a yukata from one hot spring to the next;
- Stay overnight in a buddhist temple at Mt. Koya;
- Get buried to the neck in hot sand in Ibusuki;
- Hike Mt. Aso;
- Relish my overnight stays in the traditional ryokans;
- Enjoy real Japanese cuisine.
That’s how I hope to spend my 14 day holiday. I can’t wait!
