We’re doing a project up there, so I’ve already been up a couple of times, with many more trips ahead of me.
It ain’t exactly what you call a tourist destination.
As a place to live, however, it’s kind of booming. Cashiers at IGA are making higher salaries than me.

On our way back from Greece, we had a stopover in Munich. I forgot how much I love German and Germans. Such a great language.
I want to take some more classes (German 101 was a looooong time ago) but the only ones I can find coincide with my other extra-curricular stuff. Boo.

I’m actually going. Opa!

My cousin lives there with his wife and baby.
I haven’t seen him in years and I’ve never been to Eastern Europe…
some day.

I went to Lake Louise and Sunshine Village and the skiing was amaaaazing.

There wasn’t time on my Calgary/ Drumheller trip to go here, so we’re planning a separate camping trip to the park, maybe on May 24 weekend.

Because Badlands is such a great name. Because the landscape is beautiful and unique. Because it’s daytrippable from Edmonton. Because I want to got to the dinosaur museum.
Baaaadlands. yeah.

I have relatives in Hannover so there’s really no excuse. Next time I go to Europe… unless H’s dad has moved to Greece.
