We are planning a trip at the end of December – we definitely want to do a triangle of Glasgow > Highlands > Edinburgh… but don’t know where to start or where to visit in the highlands. I would love some input – especially small towns to see and places to stay. We are pretty much on a budget and don’t mind cheaper hotels or B&Bs….
