There is something magical about the desolation of Ironton, Ohio.

It’s a very peaceful place within a pretty crowded area. This was one of the first outings we had with our daughter.

Burlington is not incorporated… but it’s a nice little town in Lawrence County.

I would really like to visit Athens, Greece someday.

Lots of cheap trinkets for fun and enjoyment.

Eat at Bennett’s or Huck Finn’s.

If you can ignore most of the touristy stuff, it’s beautiful country. Buy something at the Day Hiker, though. You’ll feel like a real outdoorsy type.

The River walk, Alamo, Mercado… I didn’t get to see it all, and I’ll be going back.

...but I want to see the end of Interstate 75. I always liked the cool name “Sault Ste Marie” on maps.

My goal is to visit the Richard Strauss museum and learn more about this fascinating composer, as well as his father and his works.
