Been visiting my late maternal grandma’s place in Melaka (or Malacca) since the gd ol’ childhood days.. loadsa golden memories attached to the place.

But, the place’s undergoing heavy urbanization lately, with highways criss-crossing everywhere & things have changed.

Great beach.
Luved waking up in the morning to catch the beautiful sunrise (& its solar twin reflected in the ever-stretching sea) from our hotel balcony (that faced the beach).

Only, ‘twas summer time – horribly hot weather (with occasional cool breezes, yes).

Went a long time back – when my cousin sis was doing her Degree at Murdoch.. Loved the Swan Lake & the carnivals.

Agn, a looong time back – but i still do remember vaguely the beautifully-studded/ bejewelled walls & being amazed by the wonderful, wonderful craftsmanship.

Went years back, at a much much younger age.. Great place & the coldest temp i’ve experienced:-4degC.

1 of my fondest memories.. getting all excited about a basketful of little,colourful chicks in a bazaar..& pleading with Ma to let us buy 1 and bring it home (across the oceans..);)
