Bakersfield, Kern County

My "second" home

I commute between the Berkeley, CA and Bakersfield, CA. I have to say that the only reason I’ve survived living in Bakersfield for the past 4 years is because I get to travel north once a week. Bakersfield is great if you like chain restaurants, box stores and conservative values. Also, if you’re not an outdoorsy person you probably won’t mind the awful air and really hot summers.
