over 7 years agoI spent a week or so in Australia – I know, not enough time really, but I have to say if you are goign to go downunder, you get more bang for your buck in New Zealand! I had a good time though, it was beautiful.
over 7 years agoI was born in Washington – it’s great! Check it out.
over 7 years agoOK – so I am prejudiced. I think the United States is worth visiting. For all our faults, the US is amazing. So much to see and do, variety, fun, etc. My favourite state of all is Oregon – reminds me of New Zealand in its variety of terrain and climate and geology.
over 7 years agoI’ve been to Amsterdam a couple of times and Rotterdam once. I loved them both. Felt very comfortable in both places – great fun to explore. Amsterdam feels very alive and happening.
over 7 years agoIt’s definitely worth visiting. I’ve been a couple of times, but I wasn’t blown away by it. It’s a lovely city and fun to explore but I wish the people were more friendly.
over 7 years agoNew Zealand is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. I lived there for a couple of years. It is an amazing place geographically and geologically. So much variety in such a small place because it is long and thin. From mountains to forests, to beaches, to plains, to meadows, to pasture land, lakes and rivers – it’s got it all. Visit!
over 7 years agoWe went here because we got some cheap tickets – never really had a great desire to go, but it blew our socks off. Love the way of life there, siestas in the afternoon, late nights. It was very friendly. Great food. The best thing though was discovering Gaudi. His buildings are all over the city, including a park. The Temple de Sagrada de Familia was amazing – we spent hours there exploring. His creativity and vision continue to inspire.
over 7 years agoI spent a couple of months in the Canary Islands doing missions work. I was on Tenerife and Gran Canaria. The tourist towns were a lot of fun and felt very safe. Great beaches and lots to do. Getting away from tourist areas and hanging out with the locals was great. It’s beautiful – green in some areas, deserty in some, sand dunes.
