Worth visiting!

Mexican Village, 3668 W. Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90004

We had so much fun at this place. Great food, fun ambiance, and plenty of dancing.

Spanish Wells

Worth visiting!

I spent three weeks here.

I went in the late ‘80s. It is a tiny island. It’s amazing to see 180 degrees of stars, it’s actually a little mindboggling. This is a tiny place; maybe 1/4mile x 1/2mile. I met so many of the people there. A lot of the guys fish and go for extended periods on the boats. There are a lot of people with the last name Pinder there.

I went to the same burger place almost every day. The burgers were so good…maybe because I was eating them under a palm tree in the bahamas.

Me and Donna were eating coconuts right out of the trees…the island dudes were happy to scale them for us and cut them open. We’d go play pool with them at night and a lot of gossip started in those three weeks but it was all bull. I guess when you’re on an island you need new topics to discuss, new people…you make use of what comes your way. Well, my dad got really mad and he didn’t know what to believe, but we were innocent.

There’s a club med, but I stayed at this doctors house with my family. This is a great place to go with that special person. There are very secluded areas and you can make love in the waves on the beach….

The only downside was the airport….right before we took off we were treated to seeing all the wrecks that took place…the crashed airplanes lined both sides of the runway. There’s no place to lug them off to, so they just stay there.

Whittier California

This town was named for John Greenleaf Whittier, famous poet and Quaker. This town originated as a Quaker settlement. It is not very exciting here. Even in Los Angeles, people don’t know where it is. Fun places in Whittier:

Mimo’s Cafe
Havana Hut
Rome
Steve’s BBQ live music on sat. night
The Firehouse
