I am hoping to go next year for the Olympics!! I just got back from Hong Kong and loved it, but I know that the rest of China is different from Hong Kong so I want to make sure to experience the rest of China.

I staid in Hong Kong for three weeks and thoroughly enjoyed it!! It was not as crowded or as dirty or as as mnay bikes as people told me. I lived in Discovery Bay which was really nice. Stanley Market is a must as well as The Peak.

I just returned from a missions trip to Jamaica. I wish there was an option in between worth going and not worth going. It is absolutely gorgeous! Very humid, I felt damp and sticky all the time. My clothes never really dried out. The beaches are wonderful, lots to do. Shopping is hard because Jamaica has become such a touristy place. I was never really bothered too much by the shop owners though. It is definately not safe at night. Girls—don’t even bother going out after dark, even if you are with a guy or group of guys. The men their don’t care if you are married or not. Overall it’s great for a weekend getaway, but not for an extended vacation.

I went to visit a friend over Thanksgiving break. Ofcourse it snowed buckets the week beofre I got there, but as soon as I got there it had all turned to slush. We tried to go on a hike, but it was pretty muddy. I want to go back either when there is more snow or in the summer.

The Riverwalk in San Antonio is gorgeous!! Beware the crazy drivers!

I will be going here in July. We will be in Hong Kong starting a Kings Kids team there and then we will be able to take those kids on their trip into inland China. I am really really excited about going. It’s been a dream for a long time. I don’t think I will be able to see the Great Wall of China, but I guess that just means I will have to go back another time!! :)

I’m going in a week!!! I will be going on a missions trip there with my leadership school. I am really excited!!

I was here for a mission trip in 2005, I loved it! We were in Bishkek, Cholpon-Ata and Karakol. The roads outside of Bishkek are really, REALLY bad. I suppose they could be worse, but it was my understanding that they have not been improved since the Soviet Union left, which was about 10 years ago. So there are some big potholes! But Cholpon-Ata was my favorite. We got to work with some orphans there, we took them to Lake Issyk-Kul to play! In Cholpon-Ata and Karakol we stayed with host homes so we got to eat some really good food. My favorite was pilaf, naan bread, and their melons. Oh those melons, mmmm…. Definately want to go back.

I was able to go to Athens during the 2004 summer Olympics for a missions trip. At the end of our trip we stayed with this family and they gave us a wonderful Greek meal. They actaully roasted a whole lamb over this fire pit, and made their own pitas and hummus. It was sooo good! They lived right by the Aegean Sea so we got to go swim around and play in the water. In the evening we went to Poseidon’s temple where we saw a gorgeous sunset over the water. I loved it!
