Went to Marrakech and Essaouria. I must go back at some point.

I was looking forward to going but not really expecting a great deal out of it.

However, I have to say that I was absolutely swept away with the city. We were only there for four days and even though I experienced a lot when there – Statue of Liberty, Grand Central Station, Broadway, Empire State Building, ice skating in Central Park and loads of shopping – I feel like I barely scratched the surface.

I hope I get back there some day.

I’ve been to Aviemore skiing before but I really want to go out west to the isles. The trouble is that midges love the taste of my blood and I’d have to pick the time of year very carefully.

I want to drive my Saab to the place where it was born…
