Ghibli Museum, Tokyo

Mei to Konekobasu

The best thing about the museum was the short film we got to see, called “Mei and Kittenbus.” It was entirely in Japanese (which I do not speak) and there were no subtitles, they didn’t talk much anyway and it was easy to get the jist of things and anyway, it was the cutest fourteen minutes of my life.

Otakon, Maryland

2004

I have not been to Otakon since 2004. (I was planning to go there again this year, but I’ll be in China, so…)

However, it was probably the most fun I’ve had. It was certainly up there. I think every American otaku needs to go at least once. It was big, noisey, disorganized and absolutely perfect.

Simmons College, Fenway Kenmore

my college

You always hear about how a college just “feels right.”

I thought that was a bunch of lies, and I’d have to settle for either preppy or co-ed … and then I visited Simmons College. Probably the best Saturday I’ve ever “wasted” on academia. ;)
