I lived in this emerald jewel for 9 years.

I’ve been missing it since I’ve left. You don’t realize how much green beauty you take for granted until you leave.

Mountains, the ocean, huge trees, and the cleanest air ever.

I miss my neighborhood, and my sweet urban lifestyle.

I miss my coffeeshops, my organic markets, and lmts everywhere.

I miss my dive bars. I my my bicycle rides thhrough out the city.

I miss looking for a view of Mt. Rainier on clear days.

I hope to return after grad school.

If you go when it is gorgeous there, you may never return.

Madrid, Comunidad De Madrid

More intimate then I expected...

but I have relatives there, and I saw a different city then most.

I remember driving through tiny streets, 3 sheets to the wind.

With an off-duty Spanish Policeman, a Spanish Army officer, my American cousins, and my madman, party animal Spanish cousin leading the way on his motorcycle.

From my hazy view, the bars we went to never closed. Drinks were cheap and unceasing, smokes were plentiful, the girls were beautiful, and conversation light.

Siestas, and meriendas. How charming and civilized.
