A review of this place: Prepare for culture shock

If you are going on vacation for a week, and will be staying around the hotel and doing day trips organized by tour groups, or if you are male, you shouldn’t have any problems . However, I lived here for 4 months, and anytime I would venture out on my own I would draw looks, sneers, rude comments, cat calls and would often have men follow me. I certainly dressed conservatively, and did nothing to encourage this behaviour besides being a woman with blonde hair and green eyes.
That aside, some of the food is wonderful ie. real couscous, bric a l’oeuf, dates, oranges, olives, etc. and this is one of the countries with the most history on earth, you definitley want to check out Carthage, and Sidi Bou Said is a very quaint little seaside town.
If you are travelling from North America, just be prepared for EVERYTHING to be completley different from anything else that you’ve experienced.
Speaking at least basic French will definitely come in handy.

Spent MANY days off here while working in Maine. Absolutely fantastic for hiking and camping, loved canoeing on the Saco River! Don’t miss the “Blueberry Muffin” for breakfast in North Conway.

Spent some time here while working in Maine, and especially loved Boston and Martha’s Vineyard. So much history, and so many good looking college guys!

Absolutely gorgeous, especially the drive between Maine and Quebec. Hung out in Burlington one day and night, GOOD TIMES! This is one of America’s best kept secrets in my opinion.

A review of this place

Probably my least favourite place in Mexico… tourism has definitley gotten the better of this city. It is dirty, over-priced, and you cannot spend 5 minutes on the beach without people harassing you to buy stuff. The jet boat trip is worth doing, where you can go see the cliff divers, and we also saw a massive sea turtle. Otherwise, there are better places to go in Mexico.

I’ve been here a couple times, but I think the older you are the more fun it is! My favourite’s are the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean and the Indian Jones ride.

A review of this place

Went here with a bunch of friends during spring break and LOVED IT! Mostly checked out the touristy stuff: the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, the Experience Music Project, etc., but thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. And we were stoked it didn’t rain.

A review of this place: Home sweet home

I was born and raised in Calgary, and have a whole new appreciation for it after spending the last few years travelling. It is a very friendly city with lots of parks and trails, good shopping, decent nightlife, lots of great restaurants and right now has more money than it knows what to do with! Tons of jobs, but definitley not enough places to live… it has grown very quickly over the last 5 years, and so traffic, polution and crime are beginning to be problems. Still a great place to visit, especially for the Stampede in July… and best of all, it’s only a 45 min drive to the mountains!

Of all the Canadian provinces, found this one quite boring… very quiet with not a lot to do and there were TONS of mosquitos when we were there in June. Not a big fan.

Only spent a day here while touring around the east coast… thought it was beautiful and very peaceful, and driving across that huge bridge to get there was pretty awesome! Camped in June and it was absolutely freezing, but we were intrigued with the red soil and the friendliness of the locals.
