Saint Thomas

Worth visiting!

Torn in between the 2...

While St. Thomas IS very touristy, I must say that I also have to agree with those who said that it was postcard perfect. St. Thomas was the last stop on my cruise. I went parasailing and it was BEAUTIFUL. The people weren’t mean to me or my friend…we actually met a man who had dressed a donkey up in a ridiculous get up and when asked what he charged to have pictures taken, he told us that he didn’t want any money but he would happily accept donations. We handed him a 5 and we were only gonna take one picture…but he insisted that we take more. The water in St. Thomas is a deep blue and everything is so serene. The sun was intense but the breeze kept it cool enough for us to continue sightseeing.

Aruba

Worth visiting!

Definitely not what I expected...

but that’s okay. It was beautiful in the weirdest way. I went on a 7 1/2 hour off road adventure in an open-top Jeep and it was amazing. I never imagined Aruba to be so rugged. The ocean was rough and the sands rockier than sandy. If you get the opportunity, go on the off-road adventure and visit the fort along the way and also try and see all of the natural bridges.

Curaçao

Worth visiting!

I didn't spend much time there...

Unfortunately… But…I did visit the Dolphin Academy and I swam with the dolphins. I must say that this was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. The water was beautiful, the sun was shining and the dolphins were high on life. I truly wish that I could have seen more but what little I DID see was gorgeous. Can’t wait to go back!!

Yonkers

Not worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place

will also be the last time. I spent a weekend at an acquaintance’s house…Yonkers pretty much sucks. Oh, and the person that I dislike the most in this world lives there. So that makes it even worse. Yeah. Boo Yonkers…boo.

Lawrence

Worth visiting!

The last time I went to this place

I absolutely loved it. I thought that I was in for a small, boring town but it was quite the contrary. I love every aspect of it…it’s not too busy and definitely not too boring. I have contemplated moving to Lawrence over the past 2 years. I can’t wait to go back!

Fayetteville

Not worth visiting!

blah freakin' blah.

Unless you are there because you are stationed at Fort Bragg…there is no reason to be here. Fayetteville is one of the worst places I’ve been to. Not one thing to “Bragg” about. Downtown is BEAUTIFUL…but there’s nothing to do there. Ugh…there’s not even that much eye candy. Nothing great about Fayetteville. blah…freaking…blah. thanks.

Charlotte

Worth visiting!

The last time I went to this place

sucked. lol. I went on a Saturday night…all I wanted to do was party but there was absolutely NO parking to be found. I circled downtown about 3 times and by the time I found parking, the streets were empty. Charlotte is a great place to go. I know a lot of people who go to school in Charlotte and it’s normally a great place to go. I think there’s wayyy too much traffic and cost of living is expensive. It’s a good place to visit but I don’t think I’d recommend living there if you want to get away from city life.

Ocala

Not worth visiting!

Untitled

I lived in Ocala for about six months and I will tell you that that was 6 months of my life wasted. Ocala is THE most boring place I’ve been to in the 21 years of my life. I still have a few family members living there and I visit quite often. I just got back last Sunday…and absolutely NOTHING has changed in SLOcala. I definitely do not recommend going to Ocala if you’re ages 14-35. Not even the weather is a redeeming quality here.

Greensboro

Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place

This is a great area to raise your kids in. However, don’t be surprised if they decide to flee the coop in search of some entertainment every once in a while. I would definitely recommend this place to older couples. The fall scenery is absolutely beautiful and there are several fall activities to participate in. Greensboro is definitely a place that you would want to live if you want to get away from the hustle, bustle of a BIG city, but you still want some options available to you as far as entertainment. I personally don’t want to live here but I am fully capable of admitting that it is a beautiful place to live if you go to the right area.
