I happen to have some friends I met at Uni that travel a lot. All the people I knoe who have been to Vietnam speak very highly of it; I believe the landscape is quite varied and very beautiful; I really enjoy going to places that are markedly different to the West; I like to begin to understand cultures that are quite different to my own, live their way of life, eat what they eat and speak their languages. I think I’m gonna have to quit my job and just set off, ‘all aboard for the magical mystery tour!’...

I saw this place about 4 years ago with some friends. I definitely reccomend that you visit it, historically, culturally and in terms of its architecture it is definitely a place worth seeing. Expect to share the place with a lot of people though, it gets really busy, starts to feel like a tourist trap. The best thing is when you get out of the forbidden city you can walk up this little hill that overlooks it, on a clear day it’s a fantastic view not only of the forbidden city but also of Beijing.

Amsterdam! City of a thousand delights… I spent last christmas there with some friends. It was a different sort of Christmas to the usual Turkey roast dinner and too many repeats on tv! If you’re looking to have a wild time then Amsterdam is the place. However, as one of the locals said to me on my second day there,’one thing you need to know about the dam is that nothing, nothing whatsoever is free’! Don’t buy anything from the fellas on the street corners.

My and my mate went there in february of 2005. Stayed with a friend who was working in NYC at the time so we stayed rent free. Had such a good time there! Went out every night and the fact that the girl we were staying with knew her way around made it even better. Good bar to go is the KGB in Greenwich village, we just loved walking round all day and stumbling across interesting places, NYC is the best place to just walk around and enjoy the scenery.

I would to visit Goa. A few of my friends have been and they all say it’s a fantastic place. Apparently the best to go is between november and April/May because during the summer months there is the monsoon and you can’t swim and, obviously it rains a lot. Living in Liverpool (it rains a lot here) I don’t want to go all the way to India for rain when all I have to do is walk out of my front door and get soaked!!

Absolutely amazing! I spent a whole day there and it was the best ‘attraction’ I visited in Beijing. A must see!!

Amazing sight, you can see all the photos you want but unless you go there and appreciate the sheer scale of it you can’t really understand how breathtaking and beautiful it is. Get there!!
