it took me a few days to get my head around this place. i’d never been out of the first world before, and getting hassled by ABOSLUTELY EVERYONE i met started to really get me down after a few days, i just started to feel like i would never trust anyone, they all seemed to want a piece of you. i guess like any country where anyone who could afford to visit is considered by most residents as inconceivable rich, you just have to get a bit tanned, a bit grubby, and get the hang of flat out ignoring people who expect your attention for no reason. once that’s clicked, you will have an absolutely fantastic time here.

gradually as you start to relax, smile, and slow down to their pace, you begin to appreciate what a magic place this is. the further south you travel, the more you will meet the indigenous berbers who have a lot more time for you than the northern arabs, and the better the scenery gets.

thankyou Barcelona. what a wonderfull festival – held in and around a modern art museum in the city centre by day, sonar is very much integrated into this wild city. you can stroll in and out, feasting and drinking in one of barcelona’s billions of cheap and tasty restaurants before going back inside to groove to the finest newest craziest sounds, feast on the record fair, immerse yourself in the mind-expanding multimedia expo or just dance the afternoon away with some happy polish people.

then… if you dare, let the night-time commence. wander through the mad-max market of summer seasonaires selling beverages, fruit and pastillas to arrive at the motherlode where you will be programmed to dance until dawn and make new friends.
