The next time I’ll be at Loch Lomond, I’ll be boarding a sea-plane with my wife Rachael and flying to some cool remote restauraunt for lunch. Flying with http://www.lochlomondseaplanes.com which is a very new thing. In some ways it seems outrageous that this hasn’t happened before, but it may be that Scotland will start to open up a little more now—imagine how much more accessible all the truly wonderfully remote places will be when you can fly a bit closer. Anyway, totally looking forward to it, and might even write up a 43P entry on it!

So long as the weather is with you (and it was for us—3 days of sun and a light breeze to keep the midges off), this is an indescribably beautiful place – awesome scenery.

I have this thing about really remote places. I really want to go here. The whole of the extremely remote North West of Scotland, actually. Just to be somewhere very lonely, very far away from everyone, very untouched.
