met the mother of my 2 beautiful children in dublin. i was on holiday and she was a local girl. i went home to australia and for 6 months we kept in constant contact and as i was sick of my life working on the mines so i sold everything i owned and moved over to sunny auld dublin. that was 10 years ago. i have always been accepted in this country and i have never had any grief and i have met some dodgy characters believe me. helped set up and captain the first ever aussie rules team in ireland. a team in northern ireland were starting up as well and we both asked afl teams if they could help out. the melbourne demons helped us out with our kit so we named ourselves in their honour, the dublin demons. our brothers in the north had similar luck with essendon but did not take their name as the belfast bombers would not go down too well.
