Cuba

What I imagine this place to be like

Many times I have been planning to go there, many times I had done something else. I definitely will go, as soon as I’ll have the time in 2008 or 2009.

Petit délire LINGUISTIQUE.

I can see myself in the bistrots and procastinating all day long, splurging soft drinks, hablando castillano porque tambièn lo hablo con otros lenguas como le français, que j’ai appris depuis tout jeune déjà, et dont les nuances et tournures me sont familières, ainsi que l’anglais that I think to be fluent, not enough althought than my french, but fair, and russian I’m learning to speak the hard way, but can’t write other than the phonetic latin way… YA GAVARIT PLOCHA, ... YA KHATCHOU SPIT U PATOM GOULAÏT,... PANIMAIYOUCH????

Cheers,...

Sidi Bou Said

(in Tunisia)

Worth visiting!

Ah... the CHECHIA coffee

I have to mention that I lived in this country from 1985 to 1989 in Tunis, Menzah 7, then La Marsa.
Sidi Bou Saïd is a little place where we used to go in summer times, close to Carthage and before La Marsa.

I really enjoyed Tunisia, I visited from Kairouan, Sousse, Monastir, Jerba, Gabes, Sfax, ....

I loved to cross daily the Charles Nicolle Avenue, where I had few courses at 9th April University.

That November (I forgot the date) morning, when as Prime Minister Zine pulled out the Bourguiba regime, I was between two
courses, and was really happy that things have gone safe, without shootings…

Went back to Jerba last year, but things had changed, since I left.

Bathurst....!

Yes that was the former name of that “pittoresque” city few decades ago.

I used to spend some funny and nice time there, and travel to Serrecunda then. The last time I was there, was just after the first putch in the eighties, when a seargent took the power and kick of the former President Daouda DIAWARRA.

All this seems to make me feel old, :-) ... but I’m not!!!

Nový Most

Worth visiting!

That night....

We just went to dance from Prague and it took us quite 2 hours by the highway.

By the sake of God (yes, I do mention H.A.M. even if I’m not a follower or practitioner :-) we spotted a place where there where an opening, so we were invited to have some drinks and smart food, italian hams, cheeses, olive oil sandwiches, wine…

Nice “soirée” that ended by following the river canal and crossing the Most (Pont)

Mucha Museum

Worth visiting!

A perpetual dispute?

We all know the French spirit, and the Czech temper.
So, when you want to play, use Mucha and reverse the historical culture to see reactions (of frenchs, then czechs).

Really funny!!!

Praha

Worth visiting!

Revitalizing

A city full of history but also energy. The czech are simply nice and smart people, with an astounding sense of real life proportions.

Not cynical, they are just the kind of persons hard to impress and manipulate. This is due to my opinion of their rich written and theatre cultural patrimoine.

Something seems to look weird to you? Don’t worry, czechs will tell you an anecdote about that.
The benefits of the tens of little theatres of any czech city.

Izhevsk

Worth visiting!

Udmurtia capital

I’ll manage when I can, to find a way to upload pictures of Votkinsk, one of the main cities of Udmurtia republic (russian federation state) after Izhevsk.

Why? Because Tchaïkovsky (himself please) where born there, and that VOTKINSK is a nice caricatural city of quite 130 000 inhabitants I use to go every year.

You’ll have to take the train quite 18 hours from Kazanski Vokzal the station to Izhevsk, and then a car to reach this city.

Note: Putin & Mikhaïl Kalashnikov, whose firm established in Izhevsk and has conceived, designed and manufactured the gun that has revolutionalized the miltary world.

Hermitage Museum

Worth visiting!

The ever Museum for me

I have been impressed (really!!!) by Hermitage for its dimension, the colors mix of the facades, the place in front of where grims were there in various 10th to 19th century costumes to make pics and been paid too.

I had not enough time for the whole afternoon to visit, and did within 4 hours just a quater. But what I saw….IMPRESSIVE!

I would like to complete the whole museum.

I was also impressed by the items, and really believe that this is the richest museum of the whole world. May be I exagerate, but really close to therefore.
