A tip I have about this place
if possible, dont sit in the bottom tier cos the tier above hangs over and obscures the view (not of the pitch) but of the rest of the stadium..

i like that its up north so the pints are a bit cheaper.
but if you have a world map or even a UK map and you have to choose 43 places, i dont see any reason to put sheffield on it, thats all.

id say its not worth visiting if you dont know where to go… iv been up to manchester a few times now but its never hit me as somewhere great…
last time i was up there it was to see doves, but i had no money for accomodation so in looking for a decent bar/club i was disapointing to see most not letting us in.. and the one that eventually did stopped serving drinks at around 2…
and picadilly gardens are not gardens, its concrete.

iv been to plenty of football grounds around england and europe but this place was totally unique. just walking around the place, there is a unique atmosphere and you can definitely feel it.
the sheer size and stature of the ground matches the club and its status in world football. a must for any real football fan.

maybe its because it was just after a wonderful time spent in madrid and ibiza and i couldnt top what iv just done
maybe its because i didnt have that much money left because of the above
maybe its because of what money i did have, it got taken by the locals who did me on the old cup and ball trick minutes after i arrive (still with my suitcase in hand)
maybe its because we were interrupted by several tramps on the street, one of whom tried to put their hand in my pocket…
maybe its because the city is dirty, overpriced and completely underwhelming despite some nice buildings
but i didnt think it was all that
