Greg Morton
Went to the comedy club last night. The opening acts were funny, but the main attraction, Greg Morton was hilarious. He did adult versions of cartoon skits using the characters he normally does voice overs for Porky, Elmer Fudd, Scooby etc. He talked about women, men, relationships, kids, compared the current generation to how things were when we grew up. His impressions were amazing- many characters from the Star Wars and Lord of the Rings trilogies. He also did musical impressions, complete with music, wigs and costumes, of Mick Jagger, Prince and Tina Turner. His re-worded version of Run Dmc’s “Walk this Way” as a song about hemorrhoids almost made me wet myself. I could hardly catch my breath when he sang just like Shaggy on “My Angel” and turned it into a song about Miss Cleo. His impression of Macy Gray’s “I try to say goodbye” was dead on and the new wording including “I can’t drive when I’m drinking beer” was LOL. In short, the evening was wonderful, and if you get a chance to see this guy perform, go; you won’t regret it.
