I love Parksville, camping at Rathtrevor Park is the best that I’ve ever experienced! Mini golfing is so much fun there too! Make a trip to coombes too!

I had a great time here! I met my great aunt who was losing it, had an AWESOME thunder and lightning show, had great meals, and stayed in a wicked B&B/Hotel!

Anybody who says this place is not worth visiting is on something! Breath taking, and peaceful! On the way to Tofino, it’s a great place to stop, and start your amazing vacation! In the winter pack some warm clothing that’s water proof, and in the summer it can get quite hot! Only Northern California can compare!

Great skiing, despite the lack of powder compared to mountains more inland. A bit pricey too, but worth it because it’s a great town, and runs are long, the people are friendly (mainly australians and canadians) and you’re likely to have a fun time!

Very family friendly resort, not many trails for skiing and boarding in the winter, the summer is beautiful with the flowers in the mountains (you feel like you’re in the Sound of Music in the Alps or something haha)

GAH!! So hot! haha and then at night (in the summer) pretty much every night I was there, a thunderstorm would roll over the local hills, and the wind on the camp ground in the middle of the lake would pick up like NOBODY’S business. Unless you really know how to peg a tent into the ground, don’t camp there! haha (well I thought it was fun at the time, but I can see why my parents were edgey about the tent being pulled out of the ground and tossed into the lake….) So much fun though, great view when driving in!

I drove last summer to get driving experience before my drivers test, and had a great time! I’ve always grown up with Mount Baker being viseable from a bedroom window, or a local beach, but had never gone to it. Very warm in the summer, and amazing views of the glacier! Absolutely beautiful!

Been twice now. Once on my bike, rode over to the foothills of the mountains, and through the farm land, it was fun, lots of places to check out, like farms that grow their own products, such as wine, jams, etc. The town itself is extremely typical American style! White houses with porches with massive American flags, streets beautifully lined with large trees, and some of the coolest shops ever! It has a Dutch influence too, so splurge on some good food! I think they have a fair in the summer, but I don’t know if that is worth visiting or not…never been!

Well I live about 5 blocks from Point Roberts, but I still love it! Unless you’re sailing in, you will find it out of the way, and probably not worth the visit (unless you stay for a few days and just want to relax) Because this place is so quiet. People are friendly, if you’re there Sunday around 10am-1pm, go to Brewsters Restaurant for Brunch…oh GOSH!!! just thinking about Brunch there makes me want to go tomorrow!!! (Canadian Money at Par too!) The beaches are really great, good for whale watching in July-ish, a small place called Lilly Point is great for a walk, cool clay cliffs (be careful when you go there, it’s easy to not pay attention and go over the edge and fall about 80 meters!!!) Over all, it’s great to just unwind from a stressful week in busy vancouver (if you’re a local).
