Spent 3 days in Hong Kong on the way between England and NEw Zealand.

3 hectic days of jetlag, sight seeing, a bit of partying and a lot of sky scrapers. Awesome place, pity I was so messed up after the flight… I plan to go back some day.

Puzzling World is an interesting diversion in Wanaka – with a large maze, crazy rooms like the room tilted at 15 degrees and more.

Most tour buses stop here, and I would say its worth a look for independents.

Its a cinema – but with couches, a morris minor and and intermission for truly awesome cookies!

Arrived in Wanaka during the summer for a one night stay on the Kiwi Experience bus – nice place. Chilled on the beach then went to Cinema Paradiso – cool place.

Ended up spending quite a bit more time in Wanaka putting up Marquees over summer, and plan to nip back once the ski season kicks off.

Visited here on the Kiwi Experience bus – took the chance to do a full day glacier walk while I was here. Its great up on the glacier – and fun to play with ice axes :-).

Its another party bar thing. The teapots are novel – especially to us brits abroad. Worth a visit on a night out around Queenstown.

Quite possibly the best burgers yet. Favorite at the moment is the Sweet Julie. Bad thing is I live 50m from it and have to avoid the temptation – trying to lose weight and save money right now….
