My husband 2 kids and I moved her to escape the old ghosts of our pasts from New Orleans. It was the best move of our lives. It allowed us to grow up and grow with our children and grow as a family. One of the BEST places I have ever lived in my life. Beautiful place, love the people. Lots to do. They need more skateboarding parks, but other than that, it is fabulous. GORGEOUS beaches!!

Considering I was raised in this area, it is still considered home to me however, life changes people move on. Believe me was in the process of changing alot then Hurricane Katrina came through destroying everything in her path. It was very disheartening to see the childhouse I grew up in destroyed, to see my step-grandmothers house destroyed and many of our other relatives homes were completely destroyed.

Before that, back in the day, back in my high school days at St. James Major, we would go to Spiders on Elysian Fields because we could drink under age, lol. Lawrence’s bakery, yummm! Going out to the lake. The Krewe of Drewe!! The neigborhood!!! Bacchus Bar, the Golden Cue…..I could go on and on…
